With our Garden Walks series, I’m sharing the moments savored in my quaint piece of nature. The flowers, herbs and vegetables growing. Interesting bits of knowledge, floral meanings and properties, growing tips and fails, even the things I create with what grows. I’m no professional, it’s simply my own knowledge and what I have done that works in my garden.
The end of May always blooms with the show stoppers, the scene stealers, the beloved. Our Rose season ebbs and flows until Autumn. And then come the Peonies, reminding us to “truly STOP, or else you’ll miss us…”

What’s there to say other than who doesn’t love a Peony. Their season is oh so short, they bloom as quickly as they disappear. Yet it doesn’t change the fact they’re one of the most beloved amongst floral designs and weddings. Its their array of varieties that blossom in vibrant shapes, colors, sizes and subtle fragrance that makes this flower special.
